Importing a Firearm from the US

Importing through us is a surprisingly easy process for clients. The steps are simple and straight forward. The client simply buys the firearm in the US (usually on gunbroker.com, gunsamerica.com, etc). The client can then have the firearm sent to our FFL exporter making sure the seller has included an invoice with the firearm. As soon as we are contacted by the client, we will start the Canadian paperwork. This paperwork can take between two to four weeks. Lately, it has been about as quick as we've experienced at about two weeks. While it is being processed, the client should send us a 'purchase order' and once we have it and the Canadian papers, we start the US work. The US state/commerce departments can take up to eight weeks but we've had some back in two days lately. Once we have the US paperwork, the firearm will be on our next shipment. With paperwork on both sides of the border being unpredictabe, the whole process can take from about a month to over three months.

Our fee is $195 per firearm and we will offer discounts for multiple orders. The client will also be responsible for any taxes and duties. We will pay the GST and duites to Canada Customs and add those to the clients bill. For firearms made in the US, Canada or Mexico there will be no duties, however, firearms made in other countries normally have 3.5% duty. The client will also pay shipping or pick up their firearm from our Lloydminster address .
